Our Programs

Great Barrier Reef Foundation programs have been structured to bring science, business and philanthropy together, in some cases for the first time, to explore the case for the Reef.

The Chairman's Panel

Convened by the Foundation's Chairman, John Schubert and Managing Director, Judy Stewart, the Chairman's Panel offers leading Australian companies a real connection to the Great Barrier Reef. The Panel program brings Chairmen and Chief Executives into direct contact with scientists and creates the opportunity to meet other Australian business leaders similarly committeed to preserving the Reef's incomporable marine environment.

ZooX Ambassador Program

The ZooX Ambassador Program has been designed to educate the employees of ZooX Fund investor companies about the links between coral reefs, climate change and sustainability in business.  A field trip to the Reef is central to the program.

In the context of their company’s sustainability policy and plans, employees join the Foundation on the Reef, to learn about the impacts of climate change on this natural wonder. While there, they are equipped to take this challenge back into their workplace by developing a sustainability project of their own for immediate implementation. The parameters for these projects have been devised in consultation with the company before the Ambassadors depart for the Reef.
