Donor Profile

Belinda Costa & Nicola Atkinson

These two Mountain Creek State High School students recently raised funds for the Foundation by making cupcakes and selling them in Buderim - proof that all ages can contribute to the preservation of the Reef!

Pacific Coast Eco Bananas

Pacific Coast Eco Bananas have been a supporter of the Great Barrier Reef Foundation since 2006.

Started by Frank and Dianne Sciacca in July 2003, Pacific Coast Eco Bananas produce Eco Bananas using an ecologically sensitive farming system.  Easily recognisable in stores by their wax tips eco bananas are a better tasting banana with a longer shelf life. The Great Barrier Reef also benefits because the Eco Growing Protocol means no insecticides, nematicides or miticides are used and only minimal fertiliser is applied. This significantly reduces the run off of agrichemicals and synthetic fertilisers which drain onto the Reef. To learn more about Eco Bananas visit http://www.eco-banana.com.au/.

Queensland Tissue Products

Queensland Tissue Products (QTP) is a long term donor to the Foundation, having been involved since 2001.
The company donates a percentage of sales from its facial and toilet tissue and washroom paper product range  to the Foundation.

Queensland Tissue’s paper products are made from recycled cardboard and paper and are free from damaging chemicals. By using these products, fewer harmful chemicals, such as chlorine, leach into waterways and onto the Reef. Look out for Queensland Tissue Products, Softex brand in your supermarket and do your bit at home to protect the Reef.
