Science in Action: The ZooX Ambassadors Program
Educating employees about the links between coral reefs, climate change and sustainability in business
The program is available to the employees of ZooX Fund Patron companies.
The ZooX Ambassadors Program:
- Engages participants around why climate change matters, by physically demonstrating its effects on the Great Barrier Reef;
- Educates participants about climate change and how science on the Reef is playing its part in addressing it as part of a larger sustainability discussion;
- Motivates participants to make changes, in their personal and professional lives;
- Encourages participants to remain involved over time as ZooX funded research results are tracked and communicated to Ambassadors and their companies
The program takes place over four stages:
1. Corporate Alignment
The program is tailored to reflect the investing company's sustainability goals
2. Ambassador Recruitment
An online Learning Journey links coral reefs, climate change and business sustainability
3. Field Trip
Selected employees join the Foundation on the Reef to learn about the impacts of climate change on this natural wonder
4. Workplace Implementation
Employees return as Ambassadors for the Reef and for their company's sustainability goals
